Sewer Works
Drainage work is rarely pleasant, but we handle every job with discretion and professionalism. We clean, repair, and restore drains so that what once flushed will flush again, with minimal disruption to your home or business
A sewer choke refers to a blockage in wastewater piping. Sewers and drains suffer from the same problems as other pipes: accumulation of hair, soap scum, food waste and grease, foreign objects, calcium and mineral deposits, and even tree root intrusion. Small cracks or joints in underground pipes provide an entry point for roots, which can grow inside the pipe and cause severe blockages or structural damage over time.
To locate the cause and exact position of a choke, we often use CCTV camera inspection. A camera run through the line reveals blockages, breaks, root ingress, collapsed sections, and other defects without the need for unnecessary excavation. Once identified, we recommend the most appropriate solution, from high-pressure jetting and mechanical rodding to targeted repairs or pipe replacement when needed
Sewer chokes usually present as one or more of the following: gurgling sounds from drains or toilets, persistent bad odours, slow or welling drains, sewage backing up into fixtures, or soggy or unusually green patches in the yard near underground pipes. If you notice any of these signs, do not ignore them - call a licensed plumber promptly to avoid escalation and more costly repairs.
Our response includes a safe assessment, clear explanation of options and costs, and professional cleanup. For urgent sewage issues we offer priority callouts to limit health risks and property damage.
